Femi Omolehinwa Foundation

Femi Omolehinwa Foundation is a not for profit and non-political organization put in place by the family of Prof Eddy Omolehinwa in memory of their wife and mother, Mrs. Olufemi Omolabake Omolehinwa (nee Lijofi) who passed away on the 4th of December, 2018 at the age of sixty-four.

During her lifetime, she was a woman with a caring heart who at one period, had as many as fourteen people to cater for in her husband’s residence in University of Lagos. The majority of these people were the children of other Nigerians who were studying in the university at the material time. This Foundation is therefore put in place to continue from where she stopped in assisting the children of others who are university under-graduates. However, this time it is by providing annual financial assistance to selected number of financially disadvantaged final year students attending public universities in Nigeria. Such students are normally expected to have not less than a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of Second Class Upper or equivalent.

During the first phase of operation, the scope of the Foundation will be limited to her local government of origin which is Okitipupa LGA in Ondo State. At this initial stage, the Foundation will make available on annual basis a sum of N2million (two million naira) as financial assistance to the students selected by the Board of Trustees.
